CSM gains $301,429.00 in OPTT trading

 An Internet based investment project company CSM Finance reported that Ocean Power Technologies, Inc. released seven breaking news that say CSM traders got four blocks of OPTT shares with a total market value amounting to $762,289.00.

All of these shares have been out by 4PM EST 14 October 2009. Total gain from the trading thus made up $301,429.00.

On it official website CSM noted: “CSM team had no mistakes and losses for over 6 months.”

Gold goes up above $950 on Tuesday

On Tuesday gold rose over $950 an ounce after it dropped 0.5% the previous day on selling by short-term investors due to caution in the face of tumbling Chinese equities and a fall in oil prices. But investor nerves were largely soothed on Tuesday as Chinese stock markets showed signs of stability, with Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index .HSI rising 0.6 percent, and oil prices gaining ground, traders said.

Members of BATS Exchange can now directly cancel open orders

BATS Global Markets, a U.S. stock exchange, announced that it is the first U.S. securities exchange to provide a Web-based real-time display giving members access to detailed information about their connections to the BATS trading platform. With the new display authorized members can decline all open orders at the port or firm level directly through the online interface. Previously, members were required to submit order cancellation requests to the BATS Exchange Trade Desk.

Asian stocks are mostly lower today

 

Thursday Asian stocks ended mostly lower with investors locking in profits ahead of US jobs data due out later in the day. 

Thus, Japan's Nikkei 225 Average closed at 9876.15 down 0.6%, at the same time Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index lost 1.1% to finish at 18178.05 as trading resumed after Wednesday's holiday. South Korea's Kospi ended flat and New Zealand's NZX 50 closed 0.4% lower.

Europe Arab Bank implements Open Link`s Findur trading platform

As Open Link Financial declared today Europe Arab Bank (“EAB”) has gone into production with Open Link`s Findur application for their treasury and capital market businees. “We wanted to have a fully automated trade processing capability for all of our current asset classes, including foreign exchange, money markets, fixed income, loans and deposits and their associated derivatives,” said Antoine Srieh, Managing Director at EAB.

TD AMERITRADE Holding Corporation has completed the acquisition of thinkorswim Group Inc. Under the terms of their Agreement and Plan of Merger dated Jan. 8, 2009, thinkorswim stockholders will receive $3.34 in cash and 0.3980 of a share of TD AMERITRADE common stock for each share of thinkorswim common stock.

Canadians sued by the SEC over using inside information to profit on Merrill

U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission sued three Ontario residents for allegedly reaping $1.02 million (C$1.13 million) of illegal trading profits by using inside information on transactions involving Merrill Lynch & Co clients.

According to the SEC two defendants, Phillip Macdonald and Martin Gollan, were investing in securities of companies that were the targets of mergers and acquisitions, based on tips from the third defendant, Michael Goodman.

An investment program European Investment Funds which was launched last week on May 12 became unavailable. According to some users last time they got payment was May 14 after that the site of the program went down.

The program offered 8 various plans ranging from 5% to 7% daily for 50 days in one group and from 150% to 300% after 15 days in another. The minimum deposit ranged from $1 to $500.

Brazil will use $20 billion Forex reserves to help the companies

President of Central Bank of Brazil Henrique Meirelles has stated that the country has enough foreign currency reserves to help compensate for a drop in international credit lines to the country. So, the bank is planning to offer credit lines in dollars, using funds from its reserves, to domestic banks on Feb. 27, March 13 and March 27. The lines intended to help the companies which have some difficulties with cash to pay foreign obligations, may total $20 billion, said the president.
