European session

Early European deals reflected US major to be sliding against its key counterparts.  The buck thus slumped to a 7-week low against the pound, a new multi-month low versus the euro, a fresh multi-year low against the franc and a 15-day low versus the yen.

The UK sterling exhibited mixed performance across the board during early European session on Thursday over drop in most European shares caused by fresh concerns about the euro-zone debt problems. The pound thus dropped to an 8-day low against the yen, while staying at a 2-day high against the euro and a session's high against the US dollar.

Early in Europe today, the 16-nation single pared it 2-days gains on renewed concerns about the European debt problems. The euro zone single thus fell to a 2-day low against the currencies of the US, the UK and Japan.

The alpine franc, depreciated across the board in early European session on Wednesday. The franc plunged to a 12-day low against the euro and it eased from an Asian session's 2 - 1/2 -year high against the dollar and a 5-day high against the yen.

Wednesday, in early European deals the 16-nation currency advanced, reaching new multi-month highs against its US and UK rivals on the back of a rise in European equities. The euro also climbed to a 12-day high against the franc and hovered near a 2-month high against the yen.

In early European session today, the UK sterling recovered from its late Asian session's loss against other major currencies and spiked higher after a report showed at 4:30 am ET that the UK economy grew at its fastest pace in nine years in the second quarter of this year.

Monday, in early European session UK sterling slipped against most majors after finishing the previous session higher.

After edging up in the Asian session, the pound declined against its US counterpart in European deals today. As of now, the sterling is trading near 1.5818 versus the greenback. Cable was worth 1.5828 at last week's close.

In early European session today, the 16-nation currency lost some ground, slipping against its US, Japanese and Swiss counterparts despite a rise in European stocks. The euro thus eased from a 10-day high against the franc. At the same time, the euro broadly showed choppy trading against the pound.

The US currency lost ground across the board in early trading on Friday, tumbling to a 2-day low against the euro, more than a 2-year low versus the Swiss franc and a 9-day low versus the yen.

The dollar, that closed yesterday's New York session at 1.3313 against the euro, plunged to a 2-day low of 1.3435 at about 6:00 am ET today.

In early European deals the 16-nation single unveiled strong growth following the report showed at 4:00 am ET that the German business confidence improved unexpectedly in September. The euro thus recovered from an 8-day low against the franc.

Thursday, in early European trading the UK sterling that diminished across the board, recovered thereafter versus the currencies of US, Japan and Switzerland. But the pound remained higher versus the euro as the latter was weakened by dismal Eurozone PMI reports. 

In late Asian deals on Thursday, the 16-nation major revealed choppy trading against its UK, US and Japanese counterparts. Thereafter, in early European session, the euro lost some ground after reports showed that the Purchasing Manager Index in the European Union dropped more than expected in September.

The alpine franc advanced in early European session today, climbing to more than a 2-year high against the US dollar, a fresh multi-month high versus the yen and a 1-week high against the pound. On the other hand, the franc lost some ground versus its euro zone rival. 

During Wednesday early European deals, the 16-nation single, appreciated across the board following the US Fed’s intention to take more steps targeting to support the US economy. The euro thus reached a new 2-month high against the pound, near a 5-month high against the dollar and a 7-week high against the yen.

The British pound lost its Asian session’s gains in early European trading as the release of the minutes of the BofE’s monetary policy meeting showed a vote of 8-1 to keep rates on hold in September. The pound thus slipped from a 5-day high against the dollar.
