Every purchase in Dubai or outside the country may have 4 percent cash back provided that customer uses a new MasterCard credit card issued by Dubai First which belongs to the Dubai Group. The cards are working on the basis of PayPass contactless payment technology.

Cash back cards make up 10 percent of all the cards on the market of the UAE.

The service is expected to remain valid for a permanent time unlike the similar offering made by American Express and Capital One, which introduced their cash back credit cards only for the period of three months with 5% and 4% cash back accordingly.

Both Classic and Golden Master card will be featured with contactless functions. Customers pay via contactless system for small purchases in amount not exceeding 100 dirhams (a little more than 27 dollars) at shops in the UAE.

Today PayPass cards are accepted in more than 80,000 countries all over the world. The number of PayPass cards worldwide accounts for over 20 million.
