Identification debit cards for school expenses

Recently a new ID card was introduced for school students to decrease the number of money theft cases. Due to the ID card students will be able to pay school expenses and purchase items on school campuses.

ID cards intended for students contain their pictures and online bio data.

The card can be charged at a Bill Express or Western Union location, and then by means of it students may pay different kind of school expenses, including tuition, lunch and credit for Digicel phones.

The product is destined to "make administration and school bill paying easier and more efficient and to reduce the occurrence of theft by removing the use of cash from daily school activity," said Khary Robinson, innovator of the student ID card.

In order to view and regulate student payments all schools will be provided with a secure password. Parents also will have an opportunity to check the expenses of their children so as to figure out if the money is properly utilized. In addition students will receive text messages informing about balance exhaustion.
