According to the measuring firm, comScore, in April 2008 U.S. retail e-commerce increased by 15 percent in comparison with the past year. A slight jump to 9 percent is observed in the growth in March.
Nevertheless this year growth doesn't exceed the growth online trade of the last year, when retail e-commerce activities showed each month ~20 percent year-over-year rise.
Gian Fulgoni, comScore Chairman, gave his optimistic view about April's trade that would emerge as consumer economy turned to a consumer accelerating spending in the course of a year and as government's economic stimulus tax rebate program would give a result.
