Fake press release. E-gold denies all the rumours about its bankcruptcy

The press release issued on July 7, 2008 appeared to be a fake. This information became came from the official blog of the system where the founder and chairman of the system Douglas Jackson has made an official statement. According to him the whole publication was a fraud and groundless.

“Beginning July 7, 2008 a fraudulent press release was sent to multiple online publication services claiming that e-gold Ltd. and Gold & Silver Reserve, Inc. had filed for bankruptcy. The announcement was a fraud and did not come from either company or anyone associated with either company,” said Douglas Jackson.

“Concurrent with the fraudulent press release there have also been intermittent denial-of-service attacks against the e-gold.com website,” continued the chairman. The officials think that those attacks were organized by the initiator of that ill-fated press release. It is necessary to note that the most press releases published on various site were deleted and are not available now.

Nevertheless, the company is not going leave it as it is and has already started the investigation to find out the perpetrator.
