July 2, 2008 - 7:48am | author: ayny | |

Mobile banking services are now being offered to customers by the 24th largest American bank. Tuesday Huntington Bancshares Inc., the Columbus area's largest bank started providing its consumers with the service to allow them access their accounts via a number of communications devices.

Customers may use the service by means of cell phones, smart phones and mobile devices supporting Internet browser access.

According to the company spokeswoman Jeri Grier the service was initiated in light of high demand for mobile banking suggested by numerous customer surveys.

In its mobile banking Huntington deploys the same encryption and security technology as used for its online banking program.
