
ACI Worldwide, Inc., one of the leaders on the market of electronic payment software, has recently announced its partnership with IBM. The total amount has not been announced however it is known that it exceeds several millions dollars. Under the signed agreement IBM will provide software and services to ACI Worldwide, Inc necessary to integrate the global workforce and client base of the company through the unified communications and collaboration technologies.
According to the company such partnership became necessary as the volume of the electronic payment operations constantly grows. Today ACI Worldwide operates in more than 88 countries worldwide and supports more than $70 billion consumer transactions per year.
"The ability to collaborate in all dimensions is key to extending our industry leading position around the world. Business collaboration needs to more accurately reflect the way people naturally prefer to interact. This IBM solution is designed to accelerate individual and collective worker productivity by 50 percent or more by breaking down barriers of time, space and departmental silos," said Dave McCann, chief information officer at ACI.
