HSBC presented its new ‘Rapport’ security software, in a move to remain one step ahead of the fraudsters and to prevent its customers from criminals.
According to some statistic data, with current 50% of internet users banking online criminals are upping their efforts to target consumers via the web. That’s why HSBC is advising its customers to download Rapport.
Rapport is available from HSBC's personal internet banking site, it’s free of charge and simple to install, working with both PCs and Macs.
The new security software protects customer data and prevents fraudulent activity by locking down browsers to prevent unauthorised access to web pages and to the confidential information that flows through the browsers.
Rapport is not designed to replace customers' antivirus or firewall packages. It was developed to act in conjunction with them and protect the customer's browser against financial malware attacks and fraudulent phishing websites.
