Over half a million card details may have been stolen from Network Solutions
Cyber criminals injected a malicious code into the servers supporting e-commerce merchant Web sites hosted by Network Solutions. This means that details of 573,928 credit and debit cards may have been stolen by perpetrators.

According to the company report the malicious code was on its servers from 12 March to 8 June and may have been used to transfer data on transactions Network Solutions processed for about 4343 merchant Web sites. Now the company says the code has been removed and there is no reason to believe card account information has been misused.

Meantime, Network Solutions is notifying affected members about the possible breach advising them to inform their cardholders. Affected cardholders are also being offered one year of free credit monitoring from TransUnion.
