Ethoca announces expansion of the power
Ethoca announces that a dynamic momentum has been noted in 2008 with the addition of several key members and partners.

The Global Fraud-Fighting Community has expanded to 37 members in 2008, through the pioneering vision of whose the Community gained the critical mass and increased the value of the company into a global cross-industry anti-fraud database.

The main idea behind Global Fraud-Fighting Community powered by Ethoca is that it is built by the members, for the members. New members of the Community refer new members to join in the fight against fraud as well. Those members have joined from different countries and from multiple industries.

Addition of 41st Parameter, a leading provider of Internet fraud intervention and detection services became one of the main events in 2008. The company brought a new member, 2Checkout.com into the Community with itself. Both of those companies provide benefit to the Community by providing a range of plug-in optional services for members to enhance their fraud detection portfolio. On the other hand they benefit from the community by connecting into a unique global data pool which helps their solutions to be more effective at detecting malicious activity and provides increased value to their customers. Another leading industry member IMRG also became a member of the community.

Some of the improvements that Ethoca, in its turn, introduced this year include: deploying new social networking tools, featuring two blogs including Fraud Intel, and a United Against Fraud blog.

Moreover, the company has tapped Dr. Armand Sarkissian, who will be VP of Analytics leading the development of models and analytics for Ethoca.
