Japan will use AsiaPay to develop e-commerce in China
Adways Co. is partnering with two Hong Kong companies (settlement services firm AsiaPay Ltd., and a Hong Kong call center operator) and a Tokyo firm (Web site developer) to launch a service on providing support to Japanese e-commerce businesses entering the Chinese market.

The service includes provision of Chinese Web development software on an ASP (application service provider) basis. Customer inquiries will be handled by the call center firm. Settlement will be possible through Alipay.com Co.., which owns more than 50 per cent of the Chinese online market, and the Ginren payment service, which owns 20 per cent of the market.

Site operators will be receiving revenues through AsiaPay and will be able to choose to have deposits made into their bank accounts in yen, U.S. dollars or Hong Kong dollars.

Mostly small and midsize businesses are expected to use its new service.
