The shift from NETeller to NEOVIA approved

NETeller’s switching to a new brand NEOVIA was approved by the shareholders of the company. The move is a logic step in the company’s efforts to distance itself from its dealings with the US Department of Justice over internet gambling in the USA. Being previously wide used by online US poker players the online payment provider NETeller will extend its area.

At an Extraordinary General Meeting shareholders approved changing Neteller's company name to the new name: NEOVIA Financial plc. The decision will come into effect on the issue of a Certificate of Incorporation of Change of Name by the Companies Registry in the Isle of Man. The confirmation is expected to be released in a short time after which the company will make further statements.

"We are delighted that shareholders have demonstrated their support of our strategic vision through this change of name of the company. The Board believes that this new name is important to the future plans of the business, and, as a result, the group will be better placed to take advantage of the many opportunities in the rapidly growing online payments market. We look forward to the future with confidence and to providing further updates on the group's developments in due course," said Ron Martin, President and CEO of the Neteller Group.
