Palace holding meetings on how to deal with Duchess Meghan's father

Top-level royal advisors are holding crisis talks after Thomas Markle Snr, 74, babbled in an interview over the weekend about how his daughter is being stifled in the same way as Princess Diana was suffocated by the royal family - eventually driving her to the brink of insanity!

The friend also went on to reveal that Meghan is appearing stoic and poised when she's out on official business because she's taking her dad and sister-in-law's comments "with a grain of salt".

During a nine-hour interview over three days, Thomas said that he is hurt that Meghan has cut him off and he has no way of contacting her. Her family has been dragged through the tabloids and she knows it's not nice. "Everything that Meghan is, I made her", he claimed, noting that he paid for her private school education and vacations overseas.

This latest revelation puts to bed any rumours that Kate has been feeling "threatened" by the latest addition to the Windsor clan.

The two duchesses' blossoming friendship was clear in pictures of them watching Wimbledon together earlier this month.

This will be Meghan's first visit to the estate since her wedding. The gorgeous piece, which is made out of vegan leather, will be the ideal addition to Meghan's growing roster of bags. "I feel that the second you do that is when you start to binge on things", she said.

The Emmy Award-winning Hollywood lighting director, now retired, says he hasn't spoken to Meghan in 10 weeks.

Meghan isn't the first royal to receive an animal-friendly gift. But to paraphrase everyone's favourite fictional dead uncle; with great royal power comes great royal responsibility, and Markle's had to sacrifice quite a bit to get to where she is today.

But her estranged father, Thomas Markle, doubts he'll even be able to reach her. I used to have a phone number and text number for her personal aides at the Palace, but after I said a few critical words about the Royal Family changing Meghan, they cut me off. I have no way of contacting my daughter. Online: "PETA believes this animal-friendly bag is absolutely flawless for the Duchess, as she is mostly vegan and cares about animals and the environment - in sharp contrast to the leather industry, which, in partnership with the meat trade, kills over one billion animals every year. She'll probably never see it".
