New Jersey Woman Pays It Forward, Picks Up Keith Urban’s Wawa Tab

Country superstar Keith Urban was having trouble with his credit card at a South Jersey convenience store, which caught the attention of another customer who offered to pay it forward.

The singer was in New Jersey for his concert in Camden on Friday night.

The substitute teacher had made a resolution to help people at her local convenience store, and jumped at the chance when the man ahead of her was short a few dollars. He reportedly thanked her and told her his name was Keith. "Do people ever tell you that you look like Keith Urban?' And he said, 'I am Keith Urban, ' and I said, 'No you're not really?" Not believing him, Reed asked his bodyguard to confirm that she was talking to the musician.

"And then he asked a young lady for $5, and I thought this is it".

The country star played Camden's BB&T Pavilion on Friday night, which he said he nearly called "the PB&J Center" in a video following the performance.

Reed said Urban stuck $5 in the donation box at the register and happily took a picture with her. "Being at the right place at the right time and too stupid to recognize Keith Urban when you see him". That cash doesn't typically go to a celebrity, though. "I would encourage everybody to do it because it makes you feel good about you".

Ruth Reed and her husband have made it a habit to pick up people's tabs at Wawa.

As Reed was paying, she thought the stranger looked familiar.

Reed said that's when she noticed his body guards and realized she really had paid for Keith Urban.
