Donald Trump Insults LeBron James’ Intelligence on Twitter

Donald Trump Insults LeBron James’ Intelligence on Twitter

He's doing an incredible job for his community, " Jordan said in a statement to The Associated Press through his representative via text Saturday. "He's doing an unbelievable job for his community", Jordan said through a spokeswoman.

LeBron had made his comments at opening of the I Promise school for at-risk children, his foundation's joint venture with Akron Public Schools.

This is presumably in retaliation to James' comments in a CNN interview with Don Lemon, during which he stated he would not sit across from Trump, but would sit across from former president Barack Obama.

"We are in a position in America where this race thing has taken over", James said Monday in an interview with CNN's Don Lemon.

It looks like LeBron James is working to do good things on behalf of our next generation.

One person wrote: "LeBron James has done more good for this country in the last week as a basketball player than Trump has in a year and a half as President of the United States".

President Donald Trump attacked Ohio's favorite son, LeBron James, on Friday night, questioning his intelligence just a day before he's set to hold a rally in the state. Lemon asked James what he would say to Trump if he were sitting in the room.

The US first lady, Melania Trump, said she would be open to visiting the National Basketball Association superstar LeBron James's new public school, the day after her husband questioned the Los Angeles Lakers player's intelligence.

Rather attacked Trump in a second tweet saying he would rather have a world that celebrates James than one that celebrates Trump.

However, James did touch on politics, expressing disappointment with Trump's relationship to sports teams.

And in February, James used an expletive to claim that Trump does not care "about the people". The visit came on the heels of controversy over Trump's late Friday tweet.

James has publicly criticized Trump before. Laker fans who spoke with Eyewitness News also felt the same way, often mentioning the school James opened and how he's impacted those kids' lives.

"Sports has never been something that divides people", James told Lemon.

James did not hold back on his thoughts about Trump during his interview with Lemon.

In 2013, Mr Trump tweeted: "Lebron is a great player and a great guy!"
