Demi Lovato agrees to enter rehab after near-fatal overdose

Another source told ET that Lovato was "experiencing nausea and fever" when she was rushed to the hospital last week.

Lovato was found unconscious in her bed her Hollywood Hills home following a night of partying on July 24.

A source previously told Entertainment Tonight that Demi was serious about getting back on track with her sobriety.

Though Lovato previously got treatment in IL, it's unclear where she'll be treated this time around. She has agreed to rehab and will go straight to an in-patient facility...

TMZ reports: 'Demi was very sick and her family did not want to upset her with something that might trigger conflict'.

The bodyguard administered some sort of first aid on the non-responsive singer, elevating her head and possibly clearing her airway to allow her to breathe until paramedics arrived, TMZ reported Friday.

And since her hospitalization, there's been reports that Demi has been suffering complications, so hopefully this new information means that Demi is finally on the mend and on the road to recovery.

Lovato has talked openly before about her struggle with substance abuse. "He visits Demi every day he can, and has spent hours with her and her family". It's her choice to go to rehab. "This is not anything that can be forced", a source tells People. The bodyguard, assistant and other members of her team were aware she was no longer sober. "I would throw up and it would just be blood and it was something that I realised if I don't stop this", she said, "I am going to die".
