Woman live tweets blossoming romance on Dallas-bound flight

Sure enough, seconds later a "tall, handsome athletic man with a bit of a scruffy beard" turned up, helped the woman with her bag, and the pair sat down and began to chat.

Euan Holden, also a former professional soccer player, told The TODAY Show on Thursday morning that he does plan on meeting up with the other passenger, identified only as Helen.

Rosey tweeted the whole thing, writing: "Last night on a flight home, my boyfriend and I asked a woman to switch seats with me so we could sit together".

Dallas resident, Rosey Blair had Twitter lingering with suspense this week as she documented a random love connection she had a hand in creating.

Blair and her boyfriend Houston didn't get assigned seats next to each other like they had hoped so they figured they'd ask someone to switch with them. Coincidence, as we call it, the duo did click really well and according to Rosie something was cooking between them and with her detailed love story thread, Netizens couldn't agree more.

"She's a very, very lovely girl", he said.

A story of two strangers flirting on a plane has captured the imaginations of literally hundreds of thousands of people, and one of the people involved may be familiar to soccer fans.

Love was in the air on an Alaska Airlines flight from New York City to Dallas Monday.

When the plane landed, the two went to baggage claim together, with Rosey snapping a picture of them looking very cosy. She said she and her boyfriend did some social media research and discovered both of the passengers were indeed single and had started to follow one another on Instagram.

Holden joked on Twitter that the viral notoriety had earned him the nickname "Plane Bae".
