LeBron James gets 98 overall rating in National Basketball Association 2K19

While LeBron James has made endless headlines leading up National Basketball Association free agency and since signing a four-year, $153 million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, he's maintained a low profile on a personal level.

The two had only texted since James committed to the Lakers on July 1 as James was out of the country on vacation.

He has kept an active profile on social media, posting regular updates of his workout routine.

LeBron attended a Las Vegas Summer League game, and he got a standing ovation from fans when he entered the arena rocking some purple and gold Lakers shorts.

Josh Hart comes up with a steal and banks in a tough layup, and LeBron James claps to show his appreciation.

Instead, the only photo confirming James' decision was one of himself alongside his agent, Rich Paul, and Lakers general manager Rob Plink. James did not play in the 2016 Games in Rio. From that pool, a 12-man roster will be selected for the 2019 World Cup in China and 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

The basketball squad U.S. will send to Tokyo in 2020 will be coached by Gregg Popovich, who inherits the role from Duke mentor Mike Krzyzewski, who guided the country to three golds in the sport in 2008, 2012, and 2016.
