Cristiano Ronaldo rejects huge Chinese Super League contract offer

Cristiano Ronaldo rejects huge Chinese Super League contract offer

Patrice Evra has urged Cristiano Ronaldo to snub a return to Manchester United and instead move to Juventus this summer.

Ronaldo, who is Madrid's all-time leading goalscorer with 450 to his name, has won two La Liga titles, two Copa del Reys and four Champions League crowns during his time with the club.

The player's agent Jorge Mendes, however, has suggested that Ronaldo may look for a "new challenge" . After the match he said "it was handsome to be at Real Madrid", per Bein Sports (h/t BBC Sport).

There are multiple reports from Spain, Portugal and Italy that a deal is done for €100m, for the33 year-old, five-time Ballon d'Or victor to move to Turin.

Perez is desperate to sign Neymar too but Hazard appears the more likely signature at this stage, with Diario Gol reporting that No. 7 spot has been reserved for the Chelsea man.

After nine glorious years in Spain, speculation is rife that Ronaldo is in the process of completing a shock €100 million transfer to Juventus - not that you'd know it from his latest Instagram update.

"If this transfer were to materialise, I'd be happy for the club and the fans".

One potential stumbling block would be the huge fees involved in such a deal.

The reports came in the wake of Portugal's last-16 exit at the World Cup in Russian Federation, with Ronaldo seemingly close to completing the switch.

"I wouldn't be surprised to see Ronaldo at Juventus", he told Sky Sports.

Having knocked Juventus out of the Champions League last season, including scoring a stunning overhead kick in Italy, Ronaldo could be the man to end their 22-year wait for the trophy.

There had been suggestions Ronaldo would be unveiled as a Juventus player over the weekend but that did not happen. There's a sense that if the forward is to leave Real Madrid it may well be this summer.
