Cher Is Releasing an Album of ABBA Covers!

The ensemble is impressive, with the notable addition of Cher.

Is it a singing sensation?

Speaking on the Today Show, Cher, 72, said that after she sang "Fernando" in the movie, she decided it would be a fun idea to do a full album including ABBA songs.

Cher and Meryl Streep locked lips on the red carpet for Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again!, and Gay Twitter™ immediately lost its sh*t. Here We Go Again was every bit as delightful as the first, fusing the untold, charming story of Donna's past, with the widely assumed guesses about her future. Vis plays the part of a Greek island in the film.

Like the first film, the sequel has plenty of colorful and comic scenes.

"The critics could have a good old field day with us, but I think at the end of the day the people are going to enjoy it even more then the last one", he said.

The band said: "We all felt that, after some 35 years, it could be fun to join forces again and go into the recording studio".

Besides Streep and Cher, actors Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Amanda Seyfried reprised their roles in the new movie. She performs ABBA's Fernando in the film with Andy Garcia, who plays hotel manager Fernando Cienfuegos.

Her husband Sky (Dominic Cooper) will miss the festivities because he is working in NY and her two remaining fathers, Harry (Colin Firth) and Bill (Stellan Skarsgard), are stuck in Tokyo and Stockholm respectively.

As she reunites with her fathers, Sophie asks them how they met her mother.

They encourage Sophie to look to the past for courage.

Amanda Seyfried and Lily James didn't make as bold of an entrance, though their outfits clearly spoke for themselves.

Mamma Mia, which was a hugely successful stage musical first, made more than $600m (£453m) worldwide.
