Celebrities lose followers amid crackdown — Fake Twitter users

Controversial bloggers Cyprian Nyakundi and Christian Dela are some of the most affected in Kenya.

Two of the biggest losers were Twitter's most famous user, President Trump, who saw roughly 400,000 of his 53.4 million followers vanish, and Barack Obama, who bid farewell to more than 2 million.

Being the Head of State he now has 3.22 million followers. An audit on his account indicates that out of the 696,000 followers he now has, 170,629 are bots.

It follows renewed scrutiny over fake news and users on social media.
