Brazil Are Out Of The World Cup Following Loss To Belgium

Belgium have sent football World Cup heavyweights Brazil home with stunning 2-1 win in Kazan.

Belgium eliminated Brazil by successfully fusing the attacking potency of De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku with the creativity of Eden Hazard and the goalkeeping exploits of Thibaut Courtois.

But as Belgium exhausted, Brazil spurned several clear chances to push the match into extra-time, Augusto drilling wide and Coutinho skewing his effort off target from Neymar's pass.

"Randomness happened and it was cruel to us", Brazil coach Tite said.

"Players have to be fearless to change the way we play and we had two days to do it".

Russian Federation is staging its first-ever FIFA World Cup, which kicked off in Moscow with a spectacular opening show at Luzhniki Stadium on the evening of June 14.

Four years after the drama of Neymar's injury and a humiliating 7-1 semi-final defeat to Germany on home soil‚ Brazil were forced back to the drawing board as they followed neighbours Argentina‚ Uruguay and Colombia in exiting the tournament earlier than hoped.

"It's incredible. This team wants to win every game, against England people said it was better to lose but we won the game, we have confidence in our team".

"It's not easy to play Brazil, they are a wonderful team", De Bruyne said.

Kevin De Bruyne scored Belgium's second goal against Brazil. Reminiscent of their on-the-break victor against Japan, Kevin De Bruyne polished off a flawless attack move with a sumptuously struck finish.

'We had to be courageous tactically and to do that in a World Cup, the players have to believe.

Serbian referee Milorad Mazic seemed unimpressed with Neymar as he went down in the area after a challenge from Fellaini and waved play on.

The France-Belgium semi-final will be held on Tuesday.

Roared on by the vast majority of the crowd at the Kazan Arena, the Brazilians poured forward to try and keep their campaign alive but Roberto Firmino, Augusto and Coutinho could not convert gilt-edged opportunities to level the scores.

But Augusto drilled inches wide minutes later, one of several misses that Brazil were made to regret. You do everything you can to win and if they're better, they'll be better and that will be football, but we'll do everything we can to win.

Brazil were nearly caught out as they pushed forward but Eden Hazard fired wide after another quick counter-attack.
