Bourdain leaves bulk of $1.2M estate to 11-year-old daughter

Bourdain's assets included $425,000 (AU$572,000) in cash and savings, as well as $250,000 (AU$330,000) in personal property, $500,000 (AU$670,000) in royalties and residuals, and $35,000 (AU$47,000) in a brokerage account.

However, the $1.2 million declared in the will may not be his only assets.

But there's also an undisclosed amount of money in a trust, according to TMZ.

A new report reveals who will receive Anthony Bourdain's fortune.

Bourdain wrote his will in December 2016 and named his wife, Ottavia Busia-Bourdain, as executor.

The court documents also reveal that Bourdain had a $1.1 million mortgage, but the exact property is not stated. TMZ also notes this is a common move for people of substantial wealth, created to be both tax advantageous and a measure of privacy protection. He left her all his "personal and household effects" to "to dispose of in accordance with what (she) believes to have been my wishes".

Though the amount seems relatively low for a TV personality, Bourdain set aside a separate trust, which is now of unknown value and assets. He began dating actress Asia Argento in early 2017 and publicly supported Argento after she accused Harvey Weinstein of rape.

News of Bourdain's suicide shocked the world on the morning of June 8 when CNN, which aired "Parts Unknown", reported that Bourdain's friend chef Eric Ripert had found him unresponsive in his room at a luxury hotel in eastern France where they had been filming segments for an upcoming episode.
