Anthony Bourdain leaves majority of $1.2M estate to daughter

Globe-trotting chef, author and TV host Anthony Bourdain was worth $1.2 million when he died last month and left most of the estate to his 11-year-old daughter, according to court papers filed this week in NY.

According to the New York Daily News, the late celebrity chef's approximately $1.21 million in assets will be left to young Ariane.

The documents do not list the East 94th Street condo Bourdain bought with his then-wife in 2014, but the filings do indicate a $1 million mortgage liability for an unspecified property.

Although Bourdain was in a relationship with Asia Argento when he died, he was still married to Ottavia Busia, and she is named as the will's executor.

Per his will, written in 2016 shortly before he and Busia-Bourdain separated, the bulk of his money will go to the couple's 11-year-old daughter.

Radar readers know Anthony Bourdain took his own life by hanging on June 8 at age 61 in France, after reportedly suffering from depression.

Bourdain's will instructs Busia to dispose of his "accumulated frequent flier miles" and other possessions like cars, furnishings and jewelry in a way she believes he would've wanted. It was filed in Manhattan Surrogate's Court.

Since his daughter, Ariana, is still a minor, a guardian will protect her interests in his estate until she turns 18.

CNN has not yet announced any decisions about the future of "Parts Unknown". In the event that Bourdain survived his daughter, the will also states that the inheritance would have gone to her nanny, Myra Quizon, CBS reported.
