A Kawhi Leonard, 4-team mega-trade involving the Philadelphia 76ers

A Kawhi Leonard, 4-team mega-trade involving the Philadelphia 76ers

Fans hoping for larger scale change with the organization have been left wondering what magic can be worked in the trade market, and the league as a whole has been quiet on that front, with most moves seemingly waiting for an ending to the Kawhi Leonard saga, one that the Raptors seemed to not be involved in.

The recruitment of Kawhi Leonard has been a long and unusual one.

Leonard can become a free agent after next season, and the general consensus seems to be that he will wind up with the Los Angeles Lakers.

"The Raptors are definitely a team a lot of executives out there feel are fertile to make a trade", Windhorst said.

Some reports have suggested that Leonard would only consider re-signing in Philadelphia when it comes to an Eastern Conference team, but if the Raptors make an NBA Finals run, you'd have to think he would at least weight it as an option.

The Sixers could offer a combination of young players and drafts picks to the Spurs for Kawhi Leonard.

While there's been no concrete reporting that Toronto is actively trying to break up their starting backcourt, there's been plenty of speculation that the team would look to trade one of their All-Stars. The package in return could include one of Kyle Lowry or DeMar DeRozan, according to Tim Bontemps of the Washington Post.

The Kawhi Leonard trade rumors have simmered down a bit the past week or so since the top National Basketball Association free agents signed new deals. They want the same proven players with two additional first-round picks attached. "You might be able to convince Kawhi Leonard otherwise". There's enough out there to be reasonably sure that the Raptors have spoken to the Spurs about a trade, but the status of those talks is completely unclear, and it's impossible to know whether things will ever progress past this point.

Anyone who checks on DeRozan's Instagram account today would have nothing to show for their social media adventure, as there are zero - as in nada, nil, nothing - photos now on display on the Raptors superstar's account.
