Xbox and PlayStation gear up for E3

It's a week for great deals on games and hardware, not least this unbelievable Xbox One Game Pass offer, as Microsoft prepares for its big press conference this weekend. Well, it's on now.

Biggest Xbox Sale of the Year is kind of a lame name, but these are some pretty solid bargains! All controllers are $10 off. First-party games are discounted by as much as 75 percent. Metro Redux Bundle for just $7.50, Homefront: The Revolution for just $10, Dead Island Definitive Edition for $5, and many, many more.

Lower down the scale, a US$50 reduction puts extra pressure on PlayStation's line with a basic Xbox One S package temporarily retailing for US$199. Sony has already detailed their Days of Play sale, and now Microsoft has announced their aptly-titled Biggest Xbox Sale of the Year, which will drop during E3. Forza Horizon 4, new Halo and Gears games are rumored to be coming, but we know Xbox needs something more to hype the fans.

Microsoft to offer the Xbox One X for $50 off during E3

Microsoft's E3 week sale is live now and offers discounts on countless games, accessories, Xbox Game Pass and Live Gold subscriptions as well as $50 off on any Xbox One console. Having dedicated the majority of last year's E3 to the Xbox One X and a substantial amount of teraflops, it will be interesting to see what tack they take this time out. The long list of discounted games includes: Forza Motorsport 7, Battlefield 1, Monster Hunter World, Assassin's Creed Origins, Destiny 2, Sea of Thieves, Super Lucky's Tale, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, FIFA 18, and National Basketball Association 2K18. Anyone who wants to try them out can get one month for just $1.

There's more to the sale too.

The sales will be up via the Xbox Store, so make sure you peruse there first before making a purchasing decision.
