The Quiet Man Announced, Coming Soon

A number of Square Enix titles have already been revealed at some of the other showcases including Kingdom Hearts III and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. The 30-minute video did not mention anything about the "Final Fantasy VII Remake" and the unnamed "The Avengers" project.

After a great showing from both Bethesda and Microsoft, the pressure was on for Square Enix to deliver during their E3 2018 conference.

Square Enix E3 2018 Showcase: What Was Missing?

"... We pretty much have finished creating all the gameplay within that world, but we're just not finished with the cutscenes yet", Nomura said.

A live action trailer seamlessly morphs into an a CG fight sequence in the teaser for "The Quiet Man". "In Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Lara must master a deadly jungle, overcome terrifying tombs, and persevere through her darkest hour". I think Square Enix is relying too much on the goodwill of its fans.

Platinum Games' next title will arrive in 2019 and it's been revealed as Bablyon's Fall for PlayStation 4 and PC (Steam).

Just Cause 4 is out on December 4 and at E3 2018 Square Enix showed off more of the open-world action game. Kingdom Hearts fans will, at the very least, have more new trailer footage to over-analyze in two-hour long YouTube videos.

"There will be some times in the game where you're able to control characters other than Sora, but I just won't say which character at this moment", Nomura teased.

The next Tomb Raider game will be released on 14 September 2018, just six months after its initial March 2018 announcement.

Oh and of course we're going to shell out some of our Disney budget to buy the Square Store exclusive Kingdom Hearts III special edition.

The games that were shown off looked good. While we can not say for certain if this will be coming to Just Cause 4, the feature is something fans have been asking for (and modding into PC versions) since the original game.

According to the developers, the game will feature new traversal options for Lara in addition to some more ruthless gameplay. All three figures appear to be in their Toy Story world garbs as each appear to be more toy-like than collectible premium statues.

From there, things go quiet as we switch from live action to live gameplay, with a brutal up close brawl taking place between our hero and the thugs.
