Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition Coming to Consoles This Year!

After the revelation of the game's definitive edition during the Xbox press briefing, game publisher Bandai Namco confirmed that the game will launch on all modern platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo switch. What's more, this remaster will include new characters, events, scenarios, locations, and costumes that were never released in the West back in 2008/2008.

If you had told us that a Tales of Vesperia remaster would be coming this year, we'd probably have laughed and then cried.

The Japanese RPG follows the story of Yuri Lowell, a former Imperial Knight who embarks on a mission to retrieve a stolen Blastia Core, which helps to regulate the water supply in his neighborhood. Most of these were pretty solid RPGs, and Tales of Vesperia, in particular, was an excellent game marked as a high point for the series. In total the games have shipped over 16 million copies.

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition will be the first Tales series title launching on an Xbox family console since the original Vesperia nearly ten years ago.

“Tales Of Vesperia holds a special place in the hearts of many Tales Of fans around the world, ” said Abelina Villegas, Associate Brand Manager for Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. Surprisingly, Tales of Vesperia, arguably the best entry in the series to date, started out as an Xbox 360 exclusive.
