Suspect Arrested in Murder of XXXTentacion

Williams appeared before Broward County Judge Kim Theresa Mollica via video Thursday afternoon. He remained silent and was denied bond. The sheriff's Office said the incident appeared to be a robbery. He does not have a valid driver's license and has a suspended ID card.

Family members of Williams in the courtroom Thursday refused to speak with the media.

The rapper was attacked by two hooded assailants after leaving a motorcycle dealership in Deerfield Beach, north of Miami.

He was facing domestic violence charges. He had a No. 1 single last spring, but also had a troubled temper.

Earlier this week, Ayala, who claimed XXXTentacion beat and choked her, showed up to a vigil for the rapper but was chased out by fans who burned mementos she tried to leave in his memory, the Daily Mail reported.

"I think he went to the bank before it happened", he said. "If he had security, maybe things would be different".

Neighbors, many of whom did not want to be quoted, said they knew Williams as a tattoo artist.

"She is stunned, devastated, somewhat rudderless at this point, she's a very young mother, 36 or 37, and one of the nicest ladies you'd ever meet", Bogenschutz said. The gunmen then jumped out and fired several shots at XXXTentacion. Born in Fort Lauderdale, he had been living in a posh Parkland home that he was renovating.

Onfroy was shot in broad daylight on a busy road by two men outside of a motorcycle dealership - where one of the suspects had only recently purchased the mask that he was wearing at the time of the shooting.

Onfroy was pronounced dead at the hospital.

There are multiple suspects in the case and they were at large Friday night, a law enforcement source said.

According to the arrest report, contact was made with Williams as he drove a 2004 silver Honda Accord by himself. In 2014, Williams allegedly put a gun to his girlfriend's head and arrest records obtained by TMZ say he has 11 felonies. His ex-girlfriend detailed the alleged abuse, which she said took place both before and during her pregnancy, in a Miami New Times story published just weeks before Onfroy's death. "So damn disrespectful. I can't believe people are that selfish".

In the end, Onfroy seemed to have a twinkling of what the future had in store for him. His YouTube channel has more than 5 million subscribers.
