Sarah Huckabee Sanders Kicked Out of Restaurant on Moral Grounds

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the White House press secretary, said she was asked to leave a Virginia restaurant Friday night because of her work in the Trump administration, becoming the latest official to be singled out for her support of the president's policies.

At The Red Hen restaurant in Swedesboro Saturday morning, staff was preparing for a private event when Operating Manager Elizabeth Pope noticed something odd on the restaurant's Facebook page: tons of angry comments and reviews.

The post went viral after Brennan Gilmore, head of the energy non-profit Clean Virginia tweeted it.

The restaurant's Yelp page quickly degenerated into a battleground, with opponents and supporters of trump rushing to post fake reviews either congratulating or slamming Wilkinson for her strong stance on Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Stephanie Wilkinson, the co-owner of the "farm-to-table" restaurant, received a phone call from the chef that Sanders was in her restaurant. And appetizers are "small plates for small minds", Huckabee said.

He provided a picture of what appeared to be a note with the instruction to "86" Sanders, presumably from the restaurant's owner, and a Facebook post from a server at the restaurant.

"I want to see why they would do that", Kurtz said, adding he had planned to eat at the restaurant but doubts he will now.

"Everytime Sarah steps up to the podium I get excited because I'm not really sure what we're gonna get, you know, a press briefing, a bunch of lies", Wolf said.

After describing to the newspaper her disdain for confrontation, Wilkinson felt it was her moral duty to ask Sanders to leave. I also can't help but notice that Sara Sanders conducted herself with such class and grace, yet mentioned the name of the restaurant, which is a brilliant move.

Wilkinson made the decision after consulting with her staff, some of which were gay. "I explained that the restaurant has certain standards that I feel it has to uphold, such as honesty, and compassion, and cooperation". "Or you can ask for the "Hate Plate". Poor decision by owners and management", one reviewer wrote on Yelp. "I'm so sorry you were treated this way", was State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert's response on Twitter.

Sanders' ejection follows two other incidents in which Trump officials had meals interrupted by political opponents, responding to the administration's new policy of separating children from parents after crossing America's southern border.
