Kate Middleton Comforts Prince George at Polo Game

The four-year-old prince, who makes us go aww with his mischievous expressions, was standing alongside Princess Charlotte and cousin Savannah Phillips, who were busy enjoying the show.

However, it wasn't long before Charlotte kicked off her shoes to run around the pitch barefoot.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and their cousin Savannah Philips undoubtedly stole the show at Trooping the Colour 2018.

The 3-year-old royal was photographed showing off her acrobatic skills to her mother, Kate Middleton, and her big brother, Prince George, 4, at Beaufort Polo Club in Gloucestershire.

While yesterday we saw the royal family in all their glory on the balcony at Buckingham Palace, we've now been given a glimpse into a much more relatable family day out.

But while many criticized the fact that the little prince was allowed to play with a plastic gun, the debate has been ongoing as others have risen to the defense of children playing with such toys.

One comment said: "This was the only disappointing thing about today's polo match photos".

The playful photos did spark some backlash on social media, however, as some people thought George's toy gun was an innappropriate choice.

Prince George has previously been spotted wearing another style from the Hampton Canvas range at Trotters called the Nantucket. My American side here, biased maybe because of everyday #gunviolence in U.S., but my British side agrees.

These worries primarily stem from how some toy guns are made to look just like real ones, creating a fear that if presented with a real gun, the child won't understand the danger in it.

Lest you think that Prince William was the main attraction of a polo match that he played in, think again.
