E3 2018: First Look at Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Gameplay

E3 2018: First Look at Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Gameplay

Here's how the game is summarised: "Write your own epic odyssey and become a legendary Spartan hero". While I didn't get a lot of time to play as male protagonist Alexios, I was intrigued by the noticeable changes in dialogue options presented and how that could affect the narrative choices given in the game compared to Kassandra. Gamers will apparently be able to make weighty choices which affect how their experience in the game progresses.

The action begins as we see our pirate go after his target, first sinking to of the smaller ships guarding it and then going after the big ol' frigate with gold and treasure to fulfil your needs.

We were introduced to the psychological thriller Transcendence previous year, but we actually got to see the game in action at E3 2018.

Opening the show with a Just Dance 2019 musical number, Ubisoft aimed to delight the crowds with game reveals and trailers galore.

"Skull & Bones" looks like Ubisoft took the most fun part of "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag" and ran with it, and I am totally here for that.

E3 2018 coverage at Giant Bomb: Still more commentary and news from E3, from our colleagues at Giant Bomb. Trading, extensive ship and crew customization, ship disguises (to help you sail past hostile territory more easily), and even cooperative gameplay were also shown off in the latest 6-minute gameplay demonstration.

The leaks continue to roll out ahead of E3 reveals, with Assassin's Creed Odyssey yet again being caught in the center of them.

Having assassinated all the bad guys in Ancient Egypt, the "Assassin's Creed" series is moving on to Ancient Greece in the next installment.

Last but absolutely not least, the stage moved to Assassin's Creed Odyssey. A closed beta for the game has also been set for later this year, while the game itself releases on February 19th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
