Assassin's Creed Odyssey Description Reportedly Leaks Ahead of E3 Unveiling

A batch of screens for Ubisoft's next game in the Assassin's Creed franchise, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, have leaked out.

Trials: Rising will be available in February for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Given that this game is set 350 years before the events of Assassin's Creed Origins, which was supposed to document the founding of the Assassin order, that's not too surprising, although it is odd that the titular contract killers wouldn't actually show up in their own game.

You'll join the adventure as a Spartan, either Alexios or Kassandra. Raids. As if all those weren't enough, we got to find out tonight that the game will get three different pieces of DLC bringing new stories, new areas, and new activities.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey's release date has seemingly been leaked on Ubisoft's store. Yet their life is changed forever when a certain contract comes their way, opening up a world that sends them on their odyssey, and therefore your odyssey also.

Considering this puts it out roughly a year after Assassin's Creed Origins, we can only assume that, at least for the time being, Ubisoft has made a decision to jump back into its annual release schedule for the series. Fine by us. Take all the time you need. Origins was known for its breathtakingly attractive recreation of ancient Egypt and Odyssey promises more of the same for Greece, but numerous locales seemed almost identical to places found in Origins.

One of the most highly anticipated Ubisoft titles to be showcased during E3 2018 is The Division 2 and dare we say we saw a lot of it. The video shows choices that are more than a couple - at least 4 options at one point, meaning that it is at least as robust and clearer then Fallout 4's dialogue system. Because there is no formal police service in Greece, citizens will employ mercenaries to take out people who have wronged them, including you.

Over eight minutes of Assassin's Creed Odyssey gameplay was also shared.

Are you excited as we are?
