Wisconsin Man Downs His 30000th Big Mac, Setting New World Record

Wisconsin Man Downs His 30000th Big Mac, Setting New World Record

If he continues at the pace he's been eating, Don predicts that he'll eat his 40,000th Big Mac in 2032, when he'll be 78.

A man dubbed the "Big Mac Daddy" ate his 30,000th Big Mac at a Wisconsin McDonald's on Friday.

He's been eating Big Macs since 1972 when he bought his first one.

"We are lovin' Don Gorske's enthusiasm for our iconic Big Mac sandwich and appreciate his ongoing loyalty", said a spokesman for McDonald's US.

Gorske says he's eaten so many because he just loves hamburgers.

In fact, when Gorske ate his 20,000th Big Mac on July 19, 2004, he told us thirty thousand "isn't that far off".

We should point out two things first: that Gorske already holds the record for having eaten the most Big Macs; he crossed that threshold according to the Guinness people back in October.

"Don has a passion for Big Macs like no other", Rause said.

He continued: "People make fun of me, but it never bothered me", Gorske said.

Gorske estimates that it took him 365 days to consume the first 1,000 Big Macs.

Don Gorske, star of 2005 film 'Don Gorske: Mac Daddy', reached his historic milestone on Friday at the same branch in which he tried his first Big Mac in 1972.

He said his cholesterol and blood pressure are normal and he weighs five pounds less than he did in 2011 when he ate his 25,000 Big Mac.

Gorske has appeared in numerous television shows including Rachel Ray Show, Oprah, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Inside Edition, and Lopez Tonight.

He says that he eats two a day.

Through more than four decades, he's gone about eight days total, without eating a Big Mac. That day was April 27, 1988.

After he was honoured, he did exactly what you'd expect - he bought another Big Mac to eat when he got home.
