Nokia X6 gets shown off on video

"These three new Nokia smartphones deliver the pure, secure and up-to-date Android One experience endorsed by Google". While it may not feature an 18:9 "bezel-less" display like some of its rivals, the Nokia 6 (2018) is no doubt a significant improvement over its predecessor in many ways. The phone features a metal unibody design and the company has claimed that it has been crafted from a single block of aluminum.

Going by this brief 12 second video, it is quite evident that the smartphone gets Nokia branding at the rear just below the vertically aligned dual camera module and fingerprint sensor. The bottom border only has room for the Nokia logo now. The developers of this new device ensured that it will not work with Symbian, but it will have similar mid-range features to the first Nokia X6 that came out a couple of years ago. Apart from offering higher performance, the chipset is also more efficient, thanks to it being manufactured on a 14nm process. Nokia also highlights fast, USB-C charging, ZEISS optics on the camera and face recognition.

Nokia 6.1 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor and comes with a 5.5-inch, full HD IPS display, a 16-megapixel camera on the back, an 8-megapixel selfie cam and a 3,000mAh battery. In terms of memory, the handset comes equipped with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

The Nokia X6 has surfaced once again, this time in the form of a video which shows it off from the front and back. However, we won't know for sure whether Nokia has the advantage until we review both devices - something you can look forward to over the next few weeks.

HMD Global already launched the Nokia 6 (2018) in many markets around the world. The Nokia 6.1 is going to be sold in the USA through Best Buy and Amazon for $270 - a far cheaper price than when converting over the 280 euro price of the Nokia 6.
