Metro Exodus delayed, Darksiders 3 and Biomutant still without release dates

"We want everyone to be able to experience what is the most ambitious Metro game to date at its absolute best...", the companies went on to say. A news post on the game's Steam Community page had the release pegged as Fall 2018 which would have had the release happen in late Q3 or early Q4.

Deep Silver and 4A Games would like to share some important information with you regarding the release date of Metro Exodus. So then, we should probably expect to see a new slice of Metro Exodus gameplay as part of Microsoft's E3 showcase running on Xbox One X hardware.

THQ didn't give any reason for the delay, although presumably as it's only been punted back a few months it's nothing too seriously. "Along with them, we are all looking forward to Deep Silver's next key release, Metro Exodus, now expected in Q1 2019". However, Deep Silver CEO Lars Wingefors has hinted that this simply could be due to the number of titles being released in 2018. The game is the next one in the popular apocalyptic series which is based on the novels by Russian author, Dmitry Glukhovsky.

Metro Exodus continues the story of Artyom as he sets off on a journey east to start a new life.

Exodus will be telling the tale of Artyom and a band of survivors who travel away from the Moscow Metro aboard a train dubbed the Aurora. But apparently after seeing how development was progressing, they figured they needed more time.

In the report, the publisher also touched on two of its anticipated games, those being Darksiders 3, and the promising Biomutant.
