HTC U12+ To Launch On May 23rd

Interestingly, it is also possible that HTC may launch the U12 variant as well.

The phone was initially spotted with the code name "Imagine", and since that point a number of details have come out about what we can expect from the HTC U12 launch date. The device will not feature a notch on the top like other devices such as the LG G7 ThinQ and the upcoming OnePlus 6.

The next HTC flagship smartphone will be unveiled on May 23, the Taiwanese firm has announced.

The tag line for this year's device is "a phone that is more than the sum of its specs", and HTC will hope that to be true given the competitive nature of the Android-powered market it will enter. A render of the phone was recently released by serial smartphone leaker Evan Blass, and does seem to suggest that the HTC U12 Launch will bring a phone with some upgraded specifications. However, we may not have to wait for long to see what HTC is cooking up for 2018.

This announcement is about HTC's next flagship smartphone, which would presumably be the HTC U12. According to a recent leak, the HTC U12+ might have a 5.99 inch IPS LCD display with 2960 x 1440 px resolution QHD+ panel. This could mean that the standard HTC U12 houses a single front-facing camera, with the dual front-facing reserved for its higher-end handset. The phone is said to pack two cameras of 16MP and 12MP at the back with the secondary sensor acting as a telephoto lens. The smartphone might have a 3420 mAh Li-ion battery and run Android 8 Oreo out of the box.
