Honor launched the Honor 10, its flagship smartphone for 2018, today in London. And the Honor 10 CMF design, a 3D glass back with a stunning nano-scale optical coating composed of 15 layers of shimmering color.

Talking about specs and features, Honor 10 comes with a notched 5.84-inch fullHD+ display with 2280×1080 resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. It has metal sides and a shiny 2.5D back. The Honor 10's notch contains the earpiece, sensors, and the front-facing camera. Some of the key features are HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC, AI 2.0, Glass design and much more. There are four cores at 2.36 Hz built on a Cortex A73 architecture and other four cores at 1.8 Hz built on a Cortex A53 architecture. Additionally, it has a Mali-G72 MP12 GPU which is also the advanced edition. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage version of the Honor 10 will be available for buying in India from May 16 from Flipkart. European shoppers are apparently getting a base option with 6 GB of LPDDR4X memory and 64 GB of memory for €400 (about $380 with Value-Added Tax excluded) and a step-up version with the same amount of memory but with 128 GB of storage for €450 (about $443 with Value-Added Tax factored out). The rear camera comes with 2x Zoom and also AI scene recognition which can easily identify people, grass, animals, sky etc. The dual rear camera is widely touted as an AI camera by the brand. The phone has a 16MP RGB camera with a f/1.8 aperture, PDAF and LED flash and a 24MP monochrome camera with f/1.8 aperture. The AI Camera can recognize 500+ scenarios in 22 categories in real-time. There is a 24-MP (1.8-micron pixels) front camera sensor which also supports AI capabilities as well as 3D portrait lighting. You can take ideal selfies and can make HD video calls through the front-facing camera of the device. The phone also sports a 3.5mm audio jack and an AK4376A Hi-Fi audio chip for enhanced audio output.

George Zhao, Honor President, told that India is the most competitive market for the company. It is powered by a 3,400mAh battery with support for Super-fast charge (5V/4.5A) that can charge it from 0 to 50% in just 25 minutes. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth4.2, LE, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C port. Sensors on board include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor.

The Honor 10 which is essentially a souped up Honor View 10 takes major design and hardware cues from Huawei's top-tier P20, bringing top-tier design and hardware to the masses. Feedback has indicated that users like the Twilight Purple variant, but unfortunately in India, only the Midnight Black and Phantom Blue options will be available. It comes in 128GB in-built storage which can not be expanded.
