'Everyone Thinks' I Deserve Nobel Peace Prize

President Donald Trump said Wednesday that "everyone" thinks he deserves a Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to rid North Korea of nuclear weapons - but added that it's not something he would say out loud.

"Everyone thinks so, but I would never say it", President Trump responded with a grin and slight chuckle. The reward that I want, is a victory for the whole world, not even for us... "I believe the authority of the Peace Prize is so strong, that exactly because you are awarded the Peace Prize, you will always be under public scrutiny and have to answer to the public for your actions".

On Wednesday, Trump sounded optimistic about his upcoming meeting with Kim.

The Nobel Peace Prize is one of six awards given yearly by the Nobel Committee. Its laureates are traditionally announced in October, the awards ceremony is held on December 10, the day of Alfred Nobel's death.

Rep. Messer was one of the first US Congressmen to call for President Trump's Nobel Prize. The last award was presented in 2009 "for efforts to strengthen worldwide diplomacy". Trump's approval for handling the situation with North Korea has jumped 10 points since late March.

Lavishing praise on Mr Trump, Mr Johnson said in an interview with MSNBC: 'This stuff he's doing in North Korea - fascinating the way he's playing that, taking a very tough line on Iran'.

Since the meeting last month of the two Koreas and the agreement to end decades of hostilities, many have been calling for Trump to win the Nobel Peace Prize. "A lot of things can happen". Kim is also working out plans for a summit with USA president Donald Trump.

Boris Johnson is on his way to meet Donald Trump to try and convince him to keep the Iran nuclear deal. I think we have a really good shot at making it successful.
