Aston Martin commissions limited run of classic Vantage V600

Aston Martin commissions limited run of classic Vantage V600

Produced in seven coupé and seven convertible examples by Aston's Q commission department, the new cars are based on the previous-generation VH-based Vantage and use a 592bhp version of Aston's naturally aspirated 5.9-litre V12.

In 1998, Aston Martin offered its customers the most extreme iteration of its Vantage sportscar, the supercharged V8 Vantage V600.

For the Aston Martin V12 Vantage, V stands for valediction. The production run breaks down into seven coupes and seven roadsters, and while you might assume that, as usual, all are accounted for, they actually aren't - deliveries don't begin until fall, and you can still place an order for one of the 14.

Following the reveal of the Red Bull Racing Editions for the V8 and V12 Vantage S models, Q by Aston Martin is showing another project based on the DB11.

The V12 Vantage V600 has commanding road presence and utilises aggressive styling cues across its full-carbon fibre exterior. No performance figures have been provided, but the discontinued V12 version of the last Vantage was good for a 0-100kph time of 3.9sec and a top speed of 330kph. Our customers can create truly bespoke sports cars by personally collaborating with myself and Aston Martin's design team. At the back, a new rear diffuser is home to a quad exhaust system. "The V600 name remains a classic in Aston Martin's heritage". The look is completed with centre-lock alloy wheels.

Lastly, the interior is also given special attention, with carbon fibre and dark anodised aluminium used to decorate the fixtures, while the passengers get carbon fibre perforated sports seats. A hand-crafted saddle leather centre armrest provides comfort and style within ergonomic reach of the machined-from-solid gear shifter.

With such a limited production run planned, and with the vehicles earmarked for Aston's most distinguished customers, prices for the V600 are available on request only.
