Spyro The Dragon Reignited Trilogy Leaked By Amazon

Spyro has been out of the game for quite a while, his last standalone adventure was in 2008 and then Activision used him as the foundation for their toys to life franchise, Skylanders. Spyro the purple, fire-breathing dragon, is back. It will be interesting how Spyro Reignited shapes up given these behind-the-scenes changes.

The box art even reveals the developer, as Toys for Bob.

Spyro the Dragon - Gnasty Gnorc has returned from exile and has unleashed evil magic on the Dragon Realms, trapping the dragons in crystal and raising an army of Gnorcs. A little digging linked to a cryptic Twitter account that was linked to the titular dragon, but now the plot gets thicker.

The culprit for the initial early leak here is the Mexican branch of Amazon. Hints pointing towards a revival of the games have been popping up in recent days, and now a trailer for Spyro: Reignited Trilogy has popped up on a French gaming site.

After much rumour and speculation, Spyro Reignited Trilogy has been announced for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 for September 21. They did, however, speak exclusively to IGN about gameplay changes, the voice acting choices, and whether they discussed the remasters with Insomniac in the interview below. SANE TRILOGY in that everything is built from the ground up. Sane Trilogy, so it only makes sense that it would look to other dormant series for more opportunities. Activision and Toys For Bob have three remade games for Spyro fans to rediscover in HD, which happens to be Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! Spyro: Reignited Trilogy will actually arrive on both PS4 and Xbox One.

Back in February, Kotaku UK ran a report that a Spyro Remastered Trilogy would be coming to PS4 in September of this year. The characters are creatively re-imagined with additional flair. Activision also promises "full analog stick support and smooth camera handling" so this will be a very smooth and modernized version of the classic platformers.
