Rumour: MX Unleashed could be next in line for Xbox backwards compatibility

The next round of original (OG) Xbox video games joining the Xbox One library of backwards compatible titles is expected to be announced in a few hours during a live stream of the second episode of Inside Xbox.

Upon checking, it hasn't hit the Australian store yet, but hopefully it will overnight.

All the original Xbox games will be playable on the Xbox One both in their physical or digital versions.

Original Xbox games aren't the only ones to get such enhancements though and at the same time Xbox 360 titles Red Dead Redemption, Portal 2, Darksiders, Gears Of War 2, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, and Sonic Generations have all been upgraded for the Xbox One X.

What specific game were you hoping to see on the Xbox One's backwards compatibility list?

Throughout the remainder of April, Microsoft will make a whopping 19 Xbox original titles available to Xbox One owners through 2 different release windows.

The next batch, on April 26: Destroy All Humans!

The list has some great names, but the most prominent among those has to be Elder Scrolls Morrowind, which was a revolutionary open world game that set the ball rolling for the whole series ahead.

Cross-platform play between the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 was once again placed in the spotlight last month, as Microsoft continued to push for Sony to allow the feature to happen in massively popular multiplayer shooter Fortnite.
