Quiet to finish the weekend; rain returns next week

We will have a chance of showers early on Thursday, but we should finally enjoy some partial clearing, with highs in the upper 60s. Rain will be heavy at times across the Midlands.

Cooler temperatures to follow our wet start to the work week, as highs only hit the middle to upper 50s on Wednesday. After the cold front pushes past us over the weekend, there should be plenty of sunshine.

A few more clouds are possible tomorrow, and temperatures will be slightly above normal.

It's in these spots where at least a couple inches of rain will fall and possibly cause area creeks and streams to overflow and cause ponding on the roads. Rain and a few thunderstorms may develop along the front during the day, but no heavy rain or severe weather is expected at this point. Tuesday we're a little warmer but rain chances stay elevated. Due to the excessive cloud cover and ongoing showers, this will keep temperatures on the cooler side with highs in the upper 50's. As of now, I have a 30% chance for some showers. The sky conditions will continue to improve throughout the day. Highs will be in the low 60s by the afternoon. For now, the weekend looks nice, with near normal temperatures on Saturday, and 70s possibily making a comeback on Sunday!
