LA District Attorney reviewing case against actor Kevin Spacey

The ‎Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office confirmed to Mashable that a case involving Spacey was presented by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department to prosecutors on April 5.

The Blast has confirmed that the district attorney in Los Angeles County is now reviewing the case after it was referred to them by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department last week.

The county sheriff's department presented results of its investigation of the matter to the district attorney last week, five months after Spacey was sacked from the Netflix television drama House of Cards over sexual misconduct accusations. The third and most recent case surfaced in January; in that case, Spacey is accused of assaulting a man in 2005 in the Westminster area of London.

Investigators from the department's Special Victims Bureau began an investigation in December, a few weeks after the actor was first publicly accused of sexual misconduct by actor Anthony Rapp. Rapp said he was 14 years old when Spacey laid on top of him at a party and tried to seduce him. Since then, Spacey's charitable foundation has shut down operations, and London's Old Vic Theatre, which Spacey served at as artistic director, opened a confidential hotline for anyone who says they were abused by Spacey to report their incidents.

Former Boston TV news anchor Heather Unruh claimed actor Spacey sexually assaulted her teenage son at a Nantucket restaurant after an evening of drinking.

In response, Spacey issued a statement on Twitter addressing the allegations - and came out as gay. Then, she said, Spacey stuck his hand down her son's trousers at the bar.
