Cool tonight with increasing clouds. Mostly cloudy but mild for Sunday

A few clouds will be moving in as we roll through our midweek. Highs in the upper 50s and low 60s.

Friday... Mostly sunny with a high near 62. Winds will be out of the NNW at 10 to 20 miles per hour. Next week will bring 60-degree highs while keeping the sunshine.

You can thank a strong area of high pressure for the dry weather, in pink on the map below, and northerly winds for the not quite yet spring temperatures. After the front passes through, northerly breezes and dry air will clear any cloudiness.

Pleasant days are expected for Thursday and Friday, even Saturday looks decent. It will be on the cooler side Tuesday through Thursday with high temperatures in the 50s to near 60. Chilly overnight, with lows in the upper 30s. Clouds will return for Saturday as another system approaches the area. Despite the lack of sunshine, temperatures will still rise into the mid-60s under a light south/southeast wind.

We'll slowly rebound back to the lower 60s by Sunday with partly sunny skies after some lingering morning showers. The southern track of this low should prevent the threat for severe weather.

That next storm system will lead to a wet day on Wednesday - maybe even a washout, depending on the rainfall's spread, intensity, and exact timing. An area of low pressure which is now across the southern Plains states will slowly move eastward into the southeast to start next week, and then slowly work its way up the Eastern Seaboard going into the middle of the week. Great weather is expected for the opening of Festival International!
