Body suspected to be from California cliff crash recovered

The bodies of Jennifer and Sarah Hart were found March 26 inside their auto at the rocky shoreline below a cliff. Though authorities have recovered the bodies of adoptive mothers Sarah and Jennifer Hart, and three of their adoptive children, Markis Hart, 19; Jeremiah Hart, 14; and Abigail Hart, 14, their three other adoptive children-Devonte Hart, 15; Sierra Hart, 15; and Hannah Hart; 16-have yet to be located.

The agency was trying to get in touch after the "now deceased children were identified as potential victims of alleged abuse or neglect", according to a statement from the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services.

Jessica Doody has the mental age of a 14-year-old.

An autopsy will be performed on the body on Tuesday, police said. "We played it out for almost a week, then we decided there was no end to it, so we probably needed to get professional help".

"I just knew her heart and she was just a joy to be around and what God had done in her life and all the girls she mentored to that's where my heart was", said James Campbell who organized the event. Again, it's unclear whether one or both of the Hart women adopted the children.

"All the research has been done by me, New Zealand police wouldn't even tell us what part of India she flew into, no information was given to us".

She is charged with malicious punishment of a child and misdemeanor domestic assault, according to Minnesota court records.

They couldn't make contact with the family after several attempts.

The family is "very private", he said. They said the teen claimed his parents were "punishing them by withholding food".

The family's 2003 GMC Yukon LX was found at the bottom of the cliff in nearby Westport, California, two days later. The deaths also have raised suspicions about the motives of the two women, both white, in adopting black children.

Jennifer Hart is seen on surveillance footage shopping at a Safeway in Fort Bragg. Their movements at that point are not known.

Authorities believe the family left their home in Woodland, Washington - leaving behind many of their belongings, including a pet and some chickens - and drove more than 500 miles south to California's Mendocino County.
