Police investigating video of woman on horse inside Miami Beach nightclub

A second set of pictures show another woman riding a white horse at another South Beach club, Kiki on the River.

A report from News4Jax sister station WLPG said horse stunts at clubs appear to be inspired by famous Studio 54 party.

"We're looking at it from a city perspective in terms of licensing", Miami Beach Police Officer Ernesto Rodriguez said, according to local news outlet WSVN-TV. Shame on you. Your event manager should find some other sort of entertainment and lay off the animal cruelty.

Multiple videos surfaced on social media showing a white horse, carrying a man and a scantily clad woman on its back, being led onto the crowded dance floor at Mokai Lounge, before falling and bucking off the woman. In addition Mokai Lounge has engaged in activity that is outside the limitations of their business tax receipt and violates Section 102-367 of the City Code.

"What kind of idiot would do something like to this to an animal?" said Miami Beach mayor Dan Gelber at a press conference earlier today.

Miami Beach Police tweeted Friday morning that the incident is being investigated. Very seriously: "City Manager Morales ordered the immediate revocation of their business license effective immediately", a statement from the city read. But Melissa Berthier, a spokeswoman for the city, said in an email Saturday that the police had located the horse and had determined it to be "healthy and safe". Gelber told the Miami Herald.

The video was posted by Miami Beach activist Michael DeFilippi, who encouraged people to share the "shocking footage".

How Mokai described what went down last Wednesday on Twitter did not include any images of the horse drama.
