Mauricio Pochettino hails "perfect" Tottenham Hotspur response

Mauricio Pochettino hails

Tottenham can console themselves with their participation in the FA Cup but Spurs will have to get past Swansea City in the FA Cup quarter-finals as Mauricio Pochettino looks to win his first piece of silverware at White Hart Lane.

World Health Organization are the favourites to sign Harry Kane if the striker decides to leave Tottenham?

In the 35 minute, Tottenham did manage to level matters when Serge Aurier played Dele Alli in behind the defence and he duly slotted past the keeper, 1-1.

Bournemouth thought they had equalised when Wilson converted from close range but it was ruled out, a little harshly, for a push on Sanchez.

Son netted his second as he was allowed to run the full length of the Bournemouth half unchallenged before rounding Begovic and slotting home.

Asked about Danny Rose, who was replaced with 10 minutes remaining, Pochettino said: "There was no injury".

Aurier then completed the comeback win in added time as he was left with the simple task of heading into an open net when Begovic parried Kieran Tripper's cross into his path at the back post.

It was the best tonic for the European heartbreak and Jan Vertonghen said: "It was a tough one to take on Wednesday".

Despite the positive start to the second half by Bournemouth, Spurs went 2-1 up in the 62nd minute after Son turned in Alli's cross. We have played so many games, Wednesday was very hard and we nearly played the same team today. After 1-0 down the team played great football and fully deserved the result.

The loss of England worldwide Kane, who went off with an ankle injury on the half-hour, took some of the gloss off a hard-won comeback victory after the disappointment of losing to Juventus in the Champions League last 16 in midweek.

Kane was forced off after 34 minutes on Sunday.

"Of course he suffered an injury that is in the same ankle that he suffered before".

Mauricio Pochettino told journalists at half-time that Kane might have sustained ankle ligament damage, according to the Telegraph, an injury he suffered from twice last season and with which he missed 14 games for Spurs overall. The Premier League's joint top scorer - tied with Liverpool's Mohamed Salah on 24 goals this season - is expected to lead the attack for England at this summer's World Cup in Russian Federation.

Tottenham climbed to third in the Premier League but lost top scorer Kane to injury as they came from behind to win on the south coast.
