Marvel Just Unveiled a New Fantastic Four Series

Marvel Just Unveiled a New Fantastic Four Series

It's been three years since the last issue of Marvel's Fantastic Four comic series was published.

Marvel Entertainment teased on Twitter that the announcement is scheduled to happen tomorrow, March 29 at 9am PT/12pm ET, and shared an image containing logos for Spider-Man, Captain America, Black Panther, and Captain Marvel. This morning, the publisher released a series of tweets every hour.

Editor-in-chief C.B. Cebulski made the announcement in a video posted to Marvel's website.

Written by Dan Slott with art by Sara Pichelli, Mr. The creators are now free to work on this book since both of their high-profile projects are ending. Slott is also writing the upcoming Iron Man series, alongside artist Valerio Schiti. "When Dan [Slott] finished 'Amazing Spider-Man, ' he came and pitched the story to us, and we just sat there with our jaws on the table".

Of course, for now all we know is that the comic's returning.

Welcome back, Fantastic Four! The Thing is the big orange rock guy. Reed can move in all kinds of direction. Johnny is on fire when he flames on. And when Sue, when she's invisible or not, you have to make her presence felt in each panel. Word on the street suggested the decision might have had something to do with Marvel's falling-out with 20th Century Fox over the Fantastic Four license, and as soon as rumors regarding the Disney/20th Century Fox merger began making the rounds, the internet did what it always does: began speculating what this might mean for the Fantastic Four's possible inclusion in the MCU.

The missing Fantastic Four members were last seen departing to explore the multiverse at the end of 2016's Secret Wars. Ben Grimm and Johnny Storm floated around the Marvel Universe, joining the Guardians of the Galaxy and The Inhumans, respectively, before teaming up together recently in Marvel 2-in-1. The latest issue even introduces new costumes for the team.

In it, we get a new version of the events of Fantastic Four #5, with now the new-Sorcerer Supreme enlisting the Fantastic Four's help with going back in time to help Doom defend the planet from an attack by Dormammu...
